We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Nonprofit Controller with expertise in grant accounting and reporting. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles and non-profit financial management and will be responsible for setting up effective financial processes and internal controls. If you are known for your strong strategic leadership skills and have a passion for nonprofit work, we would like to meet you!Responsibilities:1. Manage all accounting operations 2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of annual budget and financial forecasts, and report significant financial variances3. Lead all grant accounting functions, ensure compliance with grantor conditions and government regulations4. Prepare and distribute financial statements and grantor reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis5. Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting6. Work closely with program and fundraising staff to develop budgets for grant proposals and manage grant-related spending7. Coordinate and manage annual audit and tax filings; resolve auditors' questions and issues8. Oversee and manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed9. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
